What are Integrations & When to Use Integrations

Connect and sync your document sources into Library, making them instantly searchable and accessible across casepal.

‍

1. What is Integrations?

‍

Integrations connects your organization's document management systems and cloud storage directly to casepal's Library. Once connected, your documents sync and become searchable in the Assistant and accessible across the suite of tools through the Library Picker.

‍

Current integrations:

SharePoint: Connect SharePoint sites and document libraries

‍

Expanding integrations:

casepal is actively expanding support for additional document management systems, including Google Drive. Integration compatibility requires that a DMS support the MCP (Model Context Protocol) framework and is either widely adopted or part of a client partnership. If you need support for a specific DMS, contact your account executive or support@casepal.co.

‍

Use Integrations for:

Maintaining a live connection to your firm's document repositories

Automatic syncing of templates, precedents, and matter files

Ensuring casepal always has access to current institutional knowledge

Eliminating manual document uploads

Centralized access to documents across Microsoft 365

‍

2. When to Use Integrations

‍

Connect an integration when:

Your organization stores documents in SharePoint

You want automatic syncing instead of manual uploads

Multiple team members need access to the same document repositories

You want to maintain a single source of truth in your existing DMS

Documents are frequently updated, and you need current versions in casepal

‍

Manual upload to Library instead when:

Working with one-off documents not stored in your DMS

Documents are on local drives or email attachments

Your DMS is not yet supported by casepal integrations

You only need to upload a small number of documents

You want to create a quality repository with only relevant policies, templates, and precedents for reuse (rather than syncing entire document repositories)
